Introduction

We are living in interesting times with a lot of sufferings, poverty, hunger and uncertainty. The message this morning is a reassurance that inspite of the challenges of the world, the God we serve is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

Eph 3:20 -Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, (KJV)

God is able to do whatever He says, promises and want to do.

God is Able

  1. God is able to save: God is able to save us from sin and bondage. His saving power extends to every aspect of our lives.

Heb 7: 25-Therefore he is able to save completely[a] those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. (NIV)

  1. God is able to provide: God is a great provider. He provides in times of need. Even during famine, He provides.

Things God Promises to Provide

  1. God is able to heal: Our God is a great Physician and a healer. He has power to heal not just physical ailments but also our spiritual and emotional wounds.

Healing is the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again. Healing occurs to restore the whole body (spirit, soul/mind and body) and the relationship between the person to other people and God.

Healing is of the whole person- spirit, mind and body.

1 Peter 2: 24 -He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” (KJV)

The healing Jesus promised us is total- spirit, soul and body. And there is no exception- all diseases.

  1. God is able to deliver: He is able to deliver us from trials and tribulations.

Daniel 3:17- If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us[c] from Your Majesty’s hand (NIV)

Victory is assured.

1 Cor 15: 57- But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV)

Ps 60: 12 -With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies. (NIV)

  1. God is able to keep His Covenant with us:  God is faithful to His promises. He is more than able to fullfil every spoken and revealed word. We can trust Him.

Rom 4:  21- being fully persuaded that God has the power to do what he had promised. (NIV)

Challenges

What uncertainty are you facing in your life? What is holding you captive? What are you lacking? What are you afflicted with? What challenges and difficulties are you facing?

Conclusion

We are living in uncertain times but there is certainty with God. Whatever challenges or difficulties that we may face in life, God is able to see us through. Let us place our trust and confidence in Him. Let us hold fast to the Covenant knowing that He is faithful and true.
